Jim, massage therapist

Jim McElroy began his massage practice more than 25 years ago in Calgary physiotherapy clinics. Shortly after he moved full time with his partner Carol to the Columbia Valley in 1999, Jim began to massage at Pleiades Wellness Spa at the Radium Hot Spring Pool and worked at the spa until 2013. He returned to the spa earlier this year as a registered member of NHPC (Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association). His treatments include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Carinal Sacral, Myofascial Release and Orthopedic.

"Over the past five years I have been greatly influenced by the Ayurvedic approach to wellness and before that I was influenced over a few decades by the Japanese approach to balancing our body and our lifestyle. The Ayurvedic concept has taken that understanding further for me. I have also rekindled my past life as a photographer and my intention is to develop my art, my expression, my creativity. I usually participate in an annual exhibit at Pynelogs Cultural Centre during the summer and several exhibits at Kimberley's Centre 64 Gallery."
